Marissa Herchler

is the Area Specialized Agent for Animal Food Safety in the Prestage Department of Poultry Science. She obtained a Bachelor of Science in Zoology from North Carolina State University in 2014, her Master's Degree in Animal Science (2016) and is currently pursuing a Ph.D. in Nutrition and Animal/Poultry Science at North Carolina State University.

Marissa works with the animal food industry through North Carolina Cooperative Extension to help with regulatory compliance. Her primary responsibilities include developing resources for Food Safety Modernization Act compliance.
