Gustavo Quintana

holds a degree in Veterinary Medicine (DVM) from the University of Tolima in Colombia. As a professional, Gustavo gained experience in diet formulation and nutrition for multiple species, working as a Nutritionist in a large commercial feed company and poultry integration in his home country.

Currently, Gustavo is a Graduate Research Assistant and is pursuing his master’s degree in poultry science in the Prestage Department of Poultry Science from NC State University.

His research interest focuses on data analytics and modeling growth and efficiency responses for broiler and broiler breeder productions using JMP and R. Under the direction of Dr. Edgar Oviedo, Gustavo is leading some research projects with broiler integrations and genetic companies in Colombia and the U.S.
